    Who We’re Seeking:

    We have a simple mission - save lives through making healthcare safer. With growth both domestically and internationally, it's time Daniels Health added an energetic People & Culture Sr. Business Partner to our fast paced and dynamic team located in our downtown Chicago office. This new addition to our team will partner with the People & Culture department as well as the broader business on organizational development and employee relations that support the business vision, strategic plan, and operations.

     

    This role is responsible for supporting the overall business and People & Culture team deliver a full life cycle of HR related services across the US.  They will ensure the company effectively engages, develops and retains employees within a values-oriented, high performance culture.  In addition, the role will partner with the broader business on organizational development and employee relations topics that support the business vision, strategic plan, and operations

    Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do:


    Organizational Development

    • Work with Company leaders to ensure effective workforce planning processes and practices are in place.
    • Facilitates organizational development programs for leaders and employees, and specific teams or work groups.
    • Mentors and guide department leaders on employee engagement strategies and retention efforts.
    • Partners with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisition Team as required to support the recruitment function and its operations within the USA and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
    • Assist with managing and identifying succession planning requirements.

    Project Management & Process Improvement

    • Support the implementation of a new HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems.
    • Streamline and improve processes particularly aligned with retention of our workforce.
    • Support the talent life cycle by supporting employees and leaders through the performance assessment, compensation assessment, and goal setting processes.
    • Ad hoc tasks as requested by People & Culture leaders and Senior Leadership team.

    Onboarding/Exit & Employee Relations

    • Work with leaders to create relevant induction plans and new hire orientation experiences for new hires.
    • Serve as a guide and resource to leaders and employees during the new hire orientation period to experience a successful induction period.
    • Manage the end to end exit process, including checklists, interviews and action required outcomes.
    • Provide support to employees and leaders through employee relations, investigations, and confidential employee matters.

    Qualifications

    Candidate Profile

    • Broad knowledge and 5-7 years of experience in employment law, compensation, organizational development, employee relations and development, total rewards, and general HR best practices.
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Law, Business or Organizational Development.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in communication programs and Excel
    • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
    • Practice of a high level of confidentiality

     

    Special Requirements

    • Domestic travel may be required for this role
