    Responsibilities

    • Mechanical ability to identify problems, make corrections including changing out faulty parts and properly installing new components. Knowledge of motors and electrical/plumbing systems preferred.
    • Ability to troubleshoot various issues and help identify root cause with assistance of supervisor
    • Coordination of preventative maintenance with supervisors to ensure proper machine functionality
    • Accuracy of data: this includes the input of manifest number, processing correct container quantities, container weights, and completion of daily production sheet.
    • Leading team in end of shift cleaning of the machine, work area, tables, floors and supplies.
    • Responsible for the completion of the end of shift cleaning, PM checklist and Containers for repair.
    • Check-in with all employees to make sure they have all the tools and direction to do their job at the start of shift.
    • May assist in training new employees or employees being cross trained.
    • Lead and give direction to others to produce the expected level of productivity and quality.
    • Manage transporters from cleaning to putting product in inventory in proper location and in alignment with other transporters.
    • Attention to detail while filling customer orders. Will audit accuracy of orders including quantities and product quality.
    • Main contact for Plant Managers: communicate key issues in writing, voicemail and directly.
    • Document and leave samples of issues or questions on products/quality/service.
    • General housekeeping and safety issues addressed immediately: i.e. spills are cleaned up, the floor is kept dry and clear of debris, etc.
    • Helps manager with employee evaluations by giving feedback on an individual’s performance during the shift.
    • Assist with other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • Experience working in production/process environment
    • Respectable work references and good attendance history
    • Honest & reliable
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Can-do attitude
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays or flex hours as needed by production demands
    • Mechanical background preferred
    • Demonstrate knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations preferred

     

    Physical Requirements:

    • Extensive lifting, walking, bending, and pushing
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull carts weighing as much as 300 pounds
    • Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of less than fifty (50) pounds
    • Occasionally working in smaller restricted spaces on machine
    • Standing for extended periods of time
