    This position is responsible for onsite hazardous waste management services for all assigned customer hospital or medical centers. This position will be responsible for consolidating various sizes and types of RCRA Hazardous Waste in all designated areas in the hospitals. Ability to drive box truck as needed to pick up and deliver waste to central storage area.

    In addition, this position will be responsible for maintaining adequate on hand inventory levels. Will be one of the main Hazardous Waste customer service contacts as it relates to packing, labeling, and pick up.


    Specific Responsibilities

    • Review wastes to make sure labeling has correct classifications assigned to hazardous waste.
    • Identify waste items that do not have a profile and take appropriate action to address.
    • Manage hazardous waste in accordance with EPA and state regulations.
    • Ensure hazardous waste containers meet EPA and DOT requirements.
    • Properly mark and label containers.
    • Properly store and manage universal waste, used oil and other  special wastes
    • Be prepared and have knowledge of what to do for all types of spills
    • Understands manifests and assists drivers and Field Service Techs.
    • Send your orders (manifest and labels) to the plant or Heritage ordering email address.
    • Travel to all required sites to assist in packaging and labeling.
    • Communicate to Environmental Services  as needed
    • Face to Face interaction with the customer. Address any issues or concerns.
    • Support all main hospitals and clinics as required.
    • Perform all duties and assigned tasks in a professional and appropriate manner
    • Ensure staging area is neat and orderly; ensure all delivery equipment is in good working order
    • Receive shipments  of supplies including labels, drums, other collection containers,
    • Communicate with Daniels manager regarding daily status and any concerns
    • Work according to set schedule (and hours) agreed upon by Manager.
    • Maintain Personal Appearance as neat, clean, and professional
    • Additional duties assigned by manager to support customer and Daniels Field Service needs.



    • Demonstrate knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations
    • Desired training in Hazwoper, RCRA and DOT
    • Self-motivated, self-directed, problem solver
    • Good communication skills both written and verbal, problem solving skills
    • Willing and able to work weekends and holidays when necessary
    • Ability to work in both a team environment, and independently without direct supervision
    • Good Character including Honest & reliable
    • Proven customer service skills a plus
    • Able to operate any related equipment essential to the position
    • PC, email, internet and Microsoft Office skills required
    • Experience using smartphone hardware and software
    • Ability to use basic hand tools such as a drill, screw driver, hammer, tape measure and level


    Physical Requirements:

    • Lift containers weighing up to 50 lbs.;
    • Push/pull wheeled transporters and/or palletized product up to approximately 300 lbs.;
    • Occasionally travel up and down staircases;
    • Walking of three (3) or more miles per day;
    • Standing for extended periods of time;
    • Work in and around hospital personnel, sensitive medical equipment, and patients.


    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred; solid math skills are a plus
    • Ability to prove eligibility for work in U.S. (I-9 form)
    • CDL Driver’s license  and reliable transportation
    • Solid work references and good attendance history
    • Successfully pass drug test
    • Pre-employment physical (if required by position)
    • Successful background check
