  • Overview

    Role Purpose:

    To provide administrative support across operations, transport and logistics and management to ensure to smooth flow and operation of all Daniels Health services.

    Responsibilities

    To provide administrative support across operations, transport and logistics and management to ensure to smooth flow and operation of all Daniels Health services.

     

    • Performs, leads and delegates  responsibilities to ensure plant performance targets are achieved with an engaged and high performing team
    • Daily  review of transportation information (vendors, GPS reports on stops, times, miles, and non-compliance issues) with Plant Manager and leadership team to take action to create operational efficiencies to improve service or reduce costs
    • Perform all necessary support functions with staff to include accurate payroll and timekeeping, vacation approvals, new hire paperwork, regulatory compliance paperwork, and assist in the coordination of applicable training programs
    • Coordinate internal communication forums for field-based and office-based plant employees
    • Management of specific projects as directed by the Plant Manager or Senior Managers
    • Assist in maintaining a “team” relationship between Operations and other departments
    • Contribute to operational efficiencies in order to reduce cost
    • Oversee and maintain the regulatory compliance, plant operations manual, and administration for the site
    • Maintain and update inventory, database systems, customer information, and performance KPI spreadsheets in the business systems or plant metrics
    • Assist Leadership team with driver compliance, EG: DOT licences updated, CSA compliant, drivers licence updated and accurately update the hours of service in a system called RAIR
    • Lead administrators to ensure all procedures are efficiently completed
    • Train, motivate and develop staff
    • Monitor and track key performance
    • Support the identity and leader of process improvement initiatives as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of administive experience
    • Experience leading a small team - supervisory responsiblities
    • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
    • Good with computer systems
    • Solid work references and good attendance history
    • Good communication skills both written and verbal
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays or flex hours as needed by production demands
