The Group Corporate Controller will be a key member of the management team and will be responsible for leading the Finance function. The Group Corporate Controller will develop and empower a high performance team to achieve financial growth and strength for Daniels Health, through lifting their engagement as well as setting the highest professional standards as a benchmark.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals in a manner that facilitates their engagement, professional and career development
  • Drive a culture of sound financial stewardship throughout the business (no surprises and a platinum level of internal control)
  • Integrity of reporting of the US & Canadian results to Stakeholders (internal management, and the Board)
  • Responsibility for all legal and Company Secretarial activities
  • Responsibility for the Audit including accountability to the Audit Committee and the management of key Audit relationships
  • Tax compliance (all taxes – including State, Federal, County) including tax compliance in conjunction with the Group Tax Manager as well as Related Party (including Transfer Pricing) Governance
  • Governance and oversight for all commercial contracts (including management of key dates, ensuring that contract terms are correctly reflected in the Group result)
  • Reinforce and further develop where appropriate the key accounting policies of the business. Identify and maintain a strong & robust internal control environment for the business
  • Other functions include Group Treasury oversight, consolidation of the budget process, oversight of Finance led commercial projects in order to enhance the profitability of the Group


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Future Finance Leader
  • US Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in a Finance Department
  • Proficient in Excel & Microsoft tools
  • Excellent organization, communication & people management skills
  • Experience with Property Management issues
  • Experience with Environmental compliance will be viewed favourably
  • Ability to meet deadlines
